Unpacking
1. Unpack and unwrap the cash register.
2. Located in the packing are the following items:
• 1 roll of paper, (for ER-3xx series)
• 2 roll of paper and 1 paper spindle, (for ER-4xx and 52xx series)
• 2 sets of control keys,
• Operation and Program Manual,
3. Remove the cardboard protectors from the cash drawer.
4. Plug the register into a grounded outlet (three prong), insert a control key and turn the key to
the REG control lock position.
*A paper takeup spindle + motor kit is available if Journal mode is required for ER-3xx
series.
Installing the Paper
For ER-3xx series (ER-380 shown in the picture):
1. Remove the printer cover.
