Mail Depends on the Desktop Computer
The standard mail application is dependent on the desktop
computer e-mail application. Mail is used to manage the e-
mail received on your desktop computer. E-mail items created
in the mail application on your phone cannot be sent until a
HotSync operation is performed with the desktop computer.
The message is then sent using the desktop e-mail application.
Opening the iMessenger Application
1. Make sure that the phone is turned ON.
2. Tap the iMessenger icon .
Checking and Viewing Messages
The iMessenger screen displays a list of messages that were
downloaded from your e-mail account. Information included
is:
Who sent the message.
Date the message was received.
Unread messages have a dash displayed next to the entry.
Messages already read have a check mark placed next to
the entry.
Messages that you have created have a black diamond
displayed next to the entry.
To check for new messages:
1. Tap the “Check & Send” button.
This action downloads messages that are waiting in the
Palm.net network and also sends any messages that were
created in the iMessenger application. A progress indicator is
displayed to show the progress of the transaction.
