7.3.2 Setting using the Up / Down Arrow Keys
The Up / Down Arrow and Cursor Select Keys provide an alternative method for numeric entry
of parameters such as wavelength and attenuation. The Up / Down Arrow Keys are used to
increment / decrement an individual digit and the Cursor Key is used to step through and select
the digit to be set.
Setting mode is activated by pressing either of the Up / Down Arrow Keys or the Cursor Select
Key. When setting mode is activated the active digit will ash. The Up / Down Arrow keys are
then used to increment / decrement the active digit as required, and the Cursor Key is used to
step through individual digits.
When all digits have been set the numeric value shown on the display is saved to the OTF-930’s
memory by pressing the enter (ENT) key. After checking the numeric value displayed is the
intended value to be set, always remember to press the ENT key. When setting some parameters
the display will continue to ash for a few seconds indicating that the setting mode is still active,
and the ashing digit can be changed if required. The numeric value will, however, have been
saved when the ENT key was pressed.
The CL and BS Keys, Numeric Keypad and other function keys will become inactive when
setting values using the Up / Down Arrow Keys.
