7.9. Storing Wavelength Offset & Parameter Settings
1. Ensure the OTF-930 unit is in standard operating condition. Settings cannot be stored if
the unit is in calibration or peak search mode.
2. Press the Store Key. The message “STORE” will be displayed in the Power Display
Panel for about 1 second. The data has now been permanently stored in memory and
will not be erased when the instrument is reset or the power is switched off.
Data set using the Wavelength Offset described in Section 7.8 above is only saved in RAM
and is not stored when the power to the OTF-930 is turned off, or when the unit is reset. To
permanently store the offset data to memory follow the procedure below.
The OTF-930 can be returned to its default factory settings, any offset applied to the
wavelength will thus be removed. This can be done in the following way.
1. Press and hold the CAL key for approximately 5 seconds; the wavelength display panel
will display “CAL init”.
2. Press the STORE key to conrm this and all parameters wil be reset to their factory
defaults.
7.10. Restoring the Unit to Factory Default Settings
The data will be stored until the power to the OTF-930 is turned off, the unit is reset, or as
noted above, the CAL button is pressed a second time on the active slider. To permanently
store the offset follow the procedure given in Section 7.9 below.
