11 Disposal
11.1 Information on Decontamination
The device does not contain any hazardous materials that would necessitate
special disposal actions.
Contaminated media used during the process are potentially hazardous
substances that could cause biological or chemical hazards.
If the device has come into contact with hazardous substances: Steps must
be taken to ensure proper decontamination and declaration. The operator is
responsible for adhering to local government regulations on the proper
declaration for transport and disposal and the proper disposal of the device.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to contaminated devices!
Devices contaminated with hazardous materials (NBC contamination) will
not be accepted by Sartorius Stedim Biotech for repair or disposal.
11.2 Dismantling the Device
Requirements
The device has been decommissioned.
Procedure
t Dismantle the device (see Chapter “5.1.1 Dismantling the Device”,
page 16).
