7.3.2 Inserting a New Chain
See chapter 5.2
7.4 Load Hook and Suspension Eye
The suspension components such as the load hook and suspension eye must be inspected regularly
for wear. Faulty safety catches must be replaced immediately.
A suspension component must be replaced if any of the following conditions are not met:
1. The load hook is intact
2. Size and manufacturer signs are legible
3. No mechanical defects (e.g. deep indentations), especially in areas that are subject to tension
4. The mouth width B1 is less than B1
max
(see table below)
5. The wear measurement h is greater than h
min
(see table below)
6. No cracks or other defects on the bottom of the hook
7. No deformations
8. The safety latch can be properly reset
