7.9 Service Table
Inspection, maintenance and overhaul work must be recorded in the inspection book and confirmed by
the supervisor/expert.
Incorrect or missing entries shall result in the manufacturer’s warranty being void.
Service and maintenance intervals:
d : Daily
3 m : After 3 months
12 m : After 12 months
These intervals are for single-shift operation.
The specified service and maintenance intervals must be shortened if the load on the
chain hoist is above average or if unfavorable conditions (e.g. dust, heat, moisture,
vapors etc.) frequently occur during operation.
Devices and cranes must be periodically inspected by a technical expert.
This inspection must include:
 Visual and functional inspections (damage, wear, corrosion or other changes to
components)
 Completeness and proper function of the safety features
Disassembly may be required in order to assess the condition of wear parts.
The entire length of suspension elements, including the covered parts, must be
inspected.
All periodic inspections are to be arranged by the operator.
