6 OPERATION
6.1 General Notes
IMPORTANT NOTE
The operation of the SCHWIND Carriazo-Pendular is allowed by trained personnel
only!
The user must observe the relevant safety precautions and ensure that the device is operated
only in accordance with generally accepted rules of technology and the relevant regulations for
medical devices (refer to chapter 2.2 Regulations for Medical Devices).
IMPORTANT NOTE
Before operating the SCHWIND Carriazo-Pendular, make yourself familiar with
the safety regulations (refer to chapter 2). This serves your personal security and
the protection of the product from damage.
IMPORTANT NOTE
After turning ON the medical device, take care to recognize error or warning
messages displayed on the console screen.
Consult your nearest authorized SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions distributor or the
SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions Service Department in case of any questions
regarding this subject.
CAUTION
Do not use portable multiple socket outlets sharing a common grounding cable
to connect several devices together with this device to mains.
Do not use multiple cables or any other extension cables. Only the main
connection cable delivered by SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions should be used.
Otherwise the leakage current of the system could be potentially hazardous to
patients!
WARNING
Danger of exposure!
The medical device shall not be installed and operated in locations where danger
of explosion exists or in damp rooms.
Use the system only in a room with a compatible electrical supply.
Correct operation of the medical device is necessary to ensure safe service life.
The handling and operation of the Carriazo-Pendular and control features in any
other way as described in this User Manual may cause dangerous exposure!
