8.2.2 Manual Cleaning and Disinfection of the Console and Foot Switch
The console and the footswitch do not come in contact with the
patient.
If necessary, wipe all surfaces of the console and the foot switch
with a lint-free cloth dampened with disinfection solution.
8.2.3 Manual Cleaning and Disinfection of the Motor and Motor Cable
For cleaning of the motor, use a soft cleaning brush and
distilled water to remove residue.
Hold the motor assembly so that the motor is at the bottom
under flowing distilled water, as shown in the picture on the
right. At the same time, clean the drive for at least 1 minute
with the cleaning brush.
Always hold the motor assembly with the motor toward
the bottom in order to avoid water intrusion.
The electric drive and the motor cable may not be
immersed in disinfection or cleaning solution.
Subsequent drying with compressed
air should be performed from the side
as shown in the picture below. Drying
with compressed air directly in the
eccentric alignment may not be
performed to prevent water from being
pressed into the motor or gear.
