7 TREATMENT
Please take the information regarding treatment with the Carriazo-Pendular from the applicable
document “Treatment Guideline” included on the SCHWIND Product Documentation DVD no.
163160x.
8 CLEANING AND REPROCESSING
8.1 Cleaning and Reprocessing of Resterilisable Parts, Accessories and
Components
For cleaning and reprocessing of the Carriazo-Pendular resterilisable accessories and
parts/components as:
o Cutting head,
o Suctions rings,
o Eyelid speculum,
o Motor sleeve and screw, tonometer,
o Automatic pendulum axis (drive gear),
o Sterilisation tray,
o Plastic holder for Pendular drive
Refer to the manual “Reprocessing Instructions for resterilisable SCHWIND Products” (included
on the SCHWIND Product Documentation DVD, no. 163160x).
8.2 Cleaning and Disinfection of non-sterile Parts, Accessories and
Components
The following non-sterile parts/components and accessories will be cleaned and disinfected only:
o Console
o Foot switch
o Motor / motor cable
8.2.1 Safety Notes and Warnings
WARNING
Damage of device! Danger of short circuit!
Device must be disconnected from mains during cleaning, disinfection the medical
device, its components or control elements!
Cleaning and disinfection when device is not switched off can lead to damage of
the device and / or to personal injury by a short circuit.
