Pipit stores the last 20 messages received from the electricity supplier. There are three categories of messages
that can be sent by the supplier:
● Messages that do not require user acknowledgement
● Messages that require user acknowledgement
● Critical messages
The message icon appears on the home screen when a new message is received from the supplier, or if
there are unread messages stored in the unit:
The date and time of receipt are stored for all messages. Critical messages and those that require user
acknowledgement will pop up straight away on the main screen. Navigation to other displays is prevented until
the message is acknowledged. Consumers can configure alerts from the Settings menu for receipt of new
messages.
Receipt of non-critical messages, which do not require user acknowledgement, is indicated by the message icon
on the home screen. Messages can be accessed by pressing the message icon on either the home screen or
the menu screen.
