Unpacking Instructions
The Model SSD2-HS has been secured to a pallet for shipping. Please inspect equipment immediately for any
shipping damage. Prior to unpacking, if there is any visible damage to the Model SSD2-HS or to the crate
during shipping, the receiver must note what is damaged on the Bill of Lading and contact the shipping party
immediately.
Tools needed:
Lift truck with a minimum lifting capacity of approx. 2,500 lb (crated unit weighs approximately
2,050 lb)
Hammer
Pry bar
Strap cutters
Unpacking:
1. Remove the sides of the crates (two crates: one for SSD2-HS, and one for the vacuum fan system) using
the hammer and pry bar.
2. Using the strap cutters, cut the straps holding Model SSD2-HS and vacuum fan system to their pallets.
3. Remove the Model SSD2-HS and vacuum fan system from their respective pallets with a lift truck.
Note: Lift the Model SSD2-HS from the front with the forks 30” apart or use the fork pockets beneath the
unit, if ordered. Most of the weight is on the right side of the Model SSD2-HS.
Casters: The Model SSD2-HS and vacuum fan system are equipped with swivel casters for ease of handling
after the unit is lifted off the pallet. To transport the unit, unlock all the caster locks and then have two
people push it on a flat, straight surface. When you locate the unit where you want it, engage the caster
locks. Move the vacuum fan system in a similar way.
Warning: DO NOT push either unit on an inclined or declined surface as you could lose control of the unit,
resulting in personal injury. Ensure two people move the unit.
Storage: If the Model SSD2-HS and vacuum fan system require storage, store them unpackaged or in their
shipping crate. If unpackaged, ensure that the caster locks are engaged to prevent unwanted movement.
