Using the NoiseGard ANC
NoiseGard ANC is only available if the headphones and smartphone are
connected using Bluetooth or the USB cable.
The PXC 550 wireless headphones provide excellent attenuation of ambient
noise using Sennheiser’s very own NoiseGard active noise cancellation (ANC)
technology.
The PXC 550 wireless headphones also feature an innovative varying noise-
attenuation system called NoiseGard Adaptive ANC. If Adaptive ANC is used,
the NoiseGard strength is dependent on the severity of the surrounding noise
and will attenuate the noise accordingly. In Adaptive ANC, NoiseGard can be
very strong if the surrounding noise is too high, or can be very gentle if the
surrounding noise is too low.
