Appendix B: Particle Size Bins
There are 36 size ranges logarithmically placed from 1.00 - 500 microns in diameter. The
upper size in each bin is approximately 1.18 times the lower, with the exception of bin 1. The
table below shows the lower and upper limit of each size bin in microns, together with the
median size (also in microns) for each size bin. The sizes are the same for both Spherical
and Randomly Shaped inversions.
