10.2.1 Determining the motor data
To select the proper drive, you first need the data (weight, speed, setting range, etc.)
of the machine to be driven.
This determines the torque and the rotational speed. Refer to the documentation
"Drive Engineering – Practical Implementation, Project Planning" or the SEW-Work-
bench project planning software for assistance.
10.2.2 Selecting the proper drive
Based on the calculated values for torque and rotational speed, the suitable drive can
now be configured under adherence of any other mechanical requirements.
