4 Integrated safety technology
4.1 Prerequisites
INFORMATION
Startup must be performed correctly, to prevent hazards caused by failure of the
safety components. Only use the device in combination with functional safety tech-
nology if you have read the "Functional Safety" manual and if all requirements for
operation are fulfilled.
4.2 Safety functions
You can use the following drive-related safety functions:
• STO (Safe Torque Off):
Safe Torque Off according to EN61800‑5‑2
• SS1(c) (Safe Stop 1):
Safe Stop 1, function variant c according to EN61800‑5‑2
• SBC (Safe Brake Control):
Safe brake control according to EN61800‑5‑2
4.3 Safety concept
The following safety concepts have been implemented in the device:
• Axis module with safe torque off
• Safety-related brake module
