Connection points for mobile applications
For mobile applications, the type of energy transfer determines how you have to apply
preventive measure against electrical hazards.
Direct power supply
The ground connection protects mobile systems with direct power supply against elec-
trical hazards. Ensure the ground connection using 2 mobile contact outlets (sliding
contacts) or a trailing cable.
The following figure shows a sample mobile system with direct power supply via slid-
ing contacts:
