Recording to a MiniDisc from
a Cassette Tape
1 Press the TAPE button and load the cassette. (See page 24.)

Load a recordable MiniDisc into the MD compartment. (See page 36.)
3 Press the AUTO MARKER button to select “A.MARK ON” or
“A.MARK OFF”.
If you have selected “A.MARK ON”, the auto mark function will be activated
and a new track number will be created if the sound stops for 1 second or
more. If you have selected “A.MARK OFF”, a recording is performed as a
single track, and only one track number is created.
●
The auto mark function may not work correctly if you record a tape with much noise.
4 Press the MD REC button.
● The unit will enter the recording stand-by mode.
5 Press the

06 button to play back side A, or the

1 button for
side B. Recording will start automatically.
● If the tape or MiniDisc stops, recording will stop.
To stop recording:
Press the ■ button.
The MiniDisc and tape will stop.
About track numbers:
If there is 1 second or more of silence, a new
track number is created automatically.
● Due to noise, the track numbers may not
be correctly created.
●
Without using the auto mark function, the
recording can be performed as a single track.
MD Recording
1 Tune into the desired station. (See page 25.)

Load a recordable MiniDisc into the MD compartment. (See page 36.)
3 Press the MD REC button.
● The unit will enter the recording stand-by mode.
4 Press the

06 button to start recording.
To interrupt recording:
Press the 06 button.
To resume recording from the same point of MiniDisc, press the 06 button again.
To stop recording:
Press the ■ button.
The MiniDisc will stop.
About track numbers:
A recording is performed as a single track,
and only one number is created.

To mark track numbers whilst recording from a tape or the radio:
Press the MD REC button at the desired position during recording to create a new
track number. The track counter will be increased by one every time the button is
pressed.
