3.3 Comfirming the Filter

Pull out and remove the photomultiplier to the side while holding it with both hands.
In order to prevent light from entering into the removed photomultiplier, cover the opening of the
photomultiplier with aluminum foil and the like.

Confirm that the filter mounted is the one suitable for the analysis. Also, check the filter for contamina-
tion.
The filter must not be touched by hand when being checked. Contamination on the filter results in
deterioration of the sensitivity.
