 WARNING
Caution for handling the hydrogen gas
Explosion may possibly result if the oven is filled with hydrogen gas. Turn
OFF the APC flow controller not in use and tightly close the column
connection port.
 WARNING
Make sure of no leak of gas from the gas flow line.

Confirming the detector temperature
Confirm that the detector temperature has reached the set value before igniting the FPD. If the
hydrogen flame is ignited before the detector temperature becomes high enough, water drops are
produced around the exhaust ventilation unit, resulting in periodical change of base line or
deterioration of the sensitivity.

Selecting the detector
Pressing the [DET] key displays the set screen of the detector. When more than one detector is
loaded, press the toggle key to select the PF menu. Press the [Next Det] to select the detector you are
going to use.
To change from FID 1 of DET#1 to FPD4 of DET#4, the screen is changed as follows.
