LCMS-8045/8050 Pre-Installation Requirements

2.9.1.2 Using Gas Generated from Centralized Piping (Liquid Nitrogen)
Normally, in the case of nitrogen gas generated from liquid nitrogen, sufficient attention must be paid, for example, to
piping resistance since sufficient secondary pressure sometimes cannot be obtained. Prepare O.D. 6 mm, I.D. 4 mm or
larger resin piping using a gas supply pipe from the customer's centralized piping. If necessary, also see 2.9.1.3.
2.9.1.3 Using a Gas Cylinder
When using nitrogen gas (or synthetic air) cylinder, prepare the following gas piping connection adapter and pressure
regulator indicated below or equivalent.
x Connection adapter
S225-10766-91 Gas piping adapter kit 1 pc
x Pressure regulator
S221-35999-01 Model: PPR-N2
x Piping between gas cylinder and LCMS
The following gas supply pipes are available from Shimadzu. Please order them in advance.
S201-48067
S201-48067-05
S221-26171-20
Gas supply pipe Length: 2.5 m
Gas supply pipe Length: 5 m
Gas supply pipe for extension Length: 2 m
If a nitrogen gas cylinder and a synthetic air cylinder are used, be aware that the operating time for gas cylinders
may be shorter depending on conditions.

When used under general ESI conditions, heating gas: 10 (L/min), drying gas: 10 (L/min), nebulizer gas:
3.0 (L/min)
(a nitrogen gas cylinder)
Reference operating time: (7,000 (L)/13 (L/min))/60 (min) = approx. 9

(a synthetic air cylinder)
Reference operating time: (7,000 (L)/10 (L/min))/60 (min) = approx. 12
