Problems Without An Error Code
The Autopilot will not turn on.
The Autopilot starts the Set-up
Routine. The display shows
[HO S].
The Control Head displa
goes blank, the Autopilo
ceases steering and you have
manual control.
You have one of the following problems:
1. The battery is dead or the battery connections are
faulty.
2.
The computer is faulty.
3. The program is faulty.
4.
The fuse is faulty and must be replaced. See page 40.
5.
short on the +5V line. Check RFU cable for shor
between 1 & 3.
The Autopilot detected an error in its memory and then
erased the defective memory. You must now do the Set-up
Routine. You will not have to bleed your hydraulic system
unless you have opened the hydraulic lines or run out o
hydraulic fluid.
The random occurrence of this problem is possible bu
unlikely. If this problem occurs twice, your Autopilot ma
need servicing. Contact your SI-TEX dealer.
The SP-70 or SP-80 Control Head may be disconnected.
For safety reasons, should the Control Head inadvertently be
disconnected, the Autopilot will automatically switch off.
+5V may be shorted due to short on the Rudder Feedback
Pot or cable.
