10. Maintenance and repair
Observe the instructions in section 3, "Safety instructions", and in section 9, "Faults, causes and remedy"!
10.1 General notes on maintenance
All maintenance and repair work must be done with care and by duly trained and qualified personnel only.
The following applies to all work in item 10.2:
Switch the gear unit and addon components off.
Secure the drive unit to prevent it from being started up unintentionally.
Attach a warning notice to the start switch!
The periods indicated in table 29 depend on the conditions under which the gear unit
is operated. Only average periods can therefore be stated here. These refer to:

The operator must ensure that the intervals stated in table 29 are adhered to.
This also applies if the maintenance work is included in the operator’s internal
maintenance schedules.
