Speakerphone Mode
(optiset E standard, optiset E advance plus/comfort,
optiset E advance conference/conference, and optiset E
memory)
You want to conduct a call via the telephone micro-
phone and speaker, leaving your hands free for oth-
er activities. Speakerphone mode can be activated
as soon as you answer the call. During the course
of a call you can also switch from the handset to
speakerphone mode. Setting the quality in speak-
erphone mode (

Points to note in speakerphone mode:
z
Lowering the receiving volume improves the
quality of speakerphone operation.
z
Your speakerphone requires a short pause to
switch from the microphone to the speaker.
z
The quality of speakerphone operation can be
considerably reduced by loud ambient noises
or by interference on the line. In such cases
continue the call using the handset.
z
The ideal distance between the user and the
telephone set in speakerphone mode is
about 50 cm ( approx. 20 inches).
Replace the handset.
