Speakerphone mode in conference rooms

An optiset E telephone with a speakerphone
should be set up on the conference table so
that the conference parties participating in
the speakerphone call are sitting in a semi-cir-
cle in front of the phone. This enables the par-
ty at the other end to hear them distinctly.

The telephone should be a sufficient distance
from the reflecting surfaces of walls or furni-
ture. This is the only way to ensure optimum
quality in speakerphone mode and voice clar-
ity.

Be careful not to inadvertently cover the mi-
crophone and speaker with objects such as
conference documents.
Receiving a Call in Speakerphone Mode
Precondition:
Your telephone rings and “US:Call
from: UK:From: (station no. or name)“ appears on
the display.
Ending the call
Press the Speaker key; the LED lights up
(In US. only: press the Speaker key).

Press the illuminated Speaker key; the LED goes
out
(In US. only: replace the handset).
