You can configure ring redundancy with the DIP switches:
● With the RM switch, you can configure the SCALANCE X414-3E in a ring as the
redundancy manager.
● The STBY switch is reserved for a function planned for the future and is currently without
function.
● With the R1 and R2 switches, you can specify the ring ports, refer also to the section
"Configurable ring ports".
Changes to the switch settings during operation lead to the Fault display and to activation of
the signaling contact. The settings are adopted the next time the device is restarted.
