4.2. Configuring Master Control Element with Serial
Interface Modules (SIM)
A master control element can be configured with up to 2 serial interface modules. The SIMs
and the associated patch plugs are installed on the main board of the master control element.
In order to perform this task the housing of the master control element must be opened.
