Only one reader or one optical reader can be operated with a SIMATIC RF120C
communication module via an RS232/RS422 interface. RFID readers and optical readers from
the following product families can be operated with the RF120C:
RF200
RF300
RF1000
MV320
Freeport
MV400/MV500
Features
With the help of the SIMATIC RF120C communications module, you can address the data on
the transponders physically. This type of addressing is also referred to as normal addressing.
A maximum of three RF120C modules can be operated at the same time with one SIMATIC
S7-1200.
There are no restrictions relating to operation with other modules from the SIMATIC S7-
1200 range.

Power supply unit
Up to 3 communications modules (CM); e.g RF120C
Up to 8 signal modules (SM)
You can thus set the focus of your configuration on local requirements.

maintenance.
