Notice
Within a multicast group, you should assign identical PORT addresses for the local
port and the partner port. This is the only way that frames can be sent and also
received by the CP within a multicast group!
Note the following example of three nodes in the multicast group:
UDP connection
Ethernet station A
IP multicast group: 224.0.1.0
PORT local 2001
PORT multicast group 2001
UDP connection
Ethernet station B
IP multicast group: 224.0.1.0
PORT local 2001
PORT multicast group 2001
UDP connection
Ethernet station C
IP multicast group: 224.0.1.0
PORT local 2001
PORT multicast group 2001
Multicast group with
IP address 224.0.1.0
