4. Open the "Diagnostics" tab.
5. Click the "Update Diagnostics" button.
An attempt is made to establish a connection to the FF device. The status of the FF device
is determined and displayed. The following information on FF device communication is
displayed:
– Communication
– Device status
– Last check
– Message text

The last updated status of the FF devices are shown in the following views in SIMATIC
Manager:
● Process devices network view
● Process devices plant view
Detailed diagnostics with SIMATIC PDM
1. Select one of the following views:
– Process devices network view
– Process devices plant view
2. Select the FF device.
3. Select the menu command Edit > Open Object.
The "SIMATIC PDM" dialog box opens.
4. Select the Diagnostics > Update diagnostics menu command.
An attempt is made to establish an online connection to the FF device.
The diagnostics status of the selected object is updated.
