6.1 Redundancy
The basic configuration of redundant FF segments is the same as the configuration of
PROFIBUS PA. During configuration, the necessary couplers are part of the FF Link.

Possible redundancy when using AFD/AFS:
Ring redundancy
Coupler redundancy
Possible redundant components in the FF segment:
IM 153-2 FF interface module
FDC 157 fieldbus coupler
Redundant field bus using AFD/AFS
Note
Connecting the FF Link to the H system
The left IM 153-2 FF interface module of the FF Link must always be connected to Rack
0 of the H system.
Configuration
You configure only the FF devices and the FF Link on PROFIBUS DP. The necessary
configuration steps are described in section "How to place FF devices on the FOUNDATION
Fieldbus (Page 23)".
S7-400H as DP Master
The following AS components can operate as DP Master:
CP 443-5 ext.
PROFIBUS DP connection of the CPU
The following requirements are met regarding DP Master systems:
The DP Masters edit the same user program.
The DP Masters have the same parameter settings and configuration for the interface
modules.
