6.2 Changing the system in run
See the following information if you want to make changes to an FF segment in an existing
system.
Changes in run
The following changes are possible:
● Changing the DP Master system
● Changing parameters in FF devices
● Inserting or removing entire FF segments
● Inserting or removing FF devices (observe the rules for modifying the system during
operation by means of CiR)
Changes in run
Note
The CPU will stay in RUN with the following actions, but communication at the FF segment
will go to STOP.
● Changing connections between FF devices
● Changing bus parameters
NOTICE
STOP of CPU required
A STOP of the CPU is required if you add a new address for an FF device in HW Config
that is configured and downloaded in the system.
