4.2 Parameters of the configuration software
You can use various parameters to define the properties of the technology module. When
parameters are assigned in the user program, the parameters are transferred to the module
with the "WRREC" instruction and data record 128 (Page 58).
You set the parameters of the module as follows:

Hardware configuration in STEP 7

1. Insert the module from the hardware catalog under "Technolo-
gy modules".
2. Set the device configuration and the parameters of the module
in the hardware configuration.
3. Download the project to the CPU.
If required, use the functions of the commissioning editor.
Hardware configuration using
GSD file for distributed operation
on the PROFINET IO
1. Install the latest PROFINET GSD file.
The module is subsequently available in the hardware catalog
under "Other field devices > PROFINET IO > I/O".
2. Set the parameters in the hardware configuration.
Download the project to the CPU.
The parameters are listed in the following tables.

The following parameter settings are possible. The default settings of the parameters are
shown in bold in the "Value range" column.
