10.5.2 Preparing the memory card
Overview
You can load the converter 󹪝rmware from the Internet to a memory card.
Precondition
You have the appropriate memory card.
Recommended memory cards (Page165)
Function description
Procedure
1. Download the required 󹪝rmware to your PC from the Internet.
Download (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/67364620)
2. Extract the 󹪝les to a directory of your choice on your PC.
3. Transfer the unzipped 󹪝les into the root directory of the memory card.

Depending on the 󹪝rmware, the 󹪝lenames and the number of 󹪝les may di󹪜er from the display
above.
The "USER" directory does not exist on unused memory cards. After the memory card is
plugged in for the 󹪝rst time, the converter creates a new "USER" directory.
You have prepared the memory card for the 󹪝rmware upgrade or downgrade.
