This terminal is used to load the device with DIGSI 5 using Ethernet. This terminal also enables IEC 61850
Ethernet communication or communication with another protocol via Ethernet, for example, for connecting
an external RTD unit.

The integrated optical Ethernet interface offers the possibility of replacing the SFPs (Small Form-Factor Plug-
gable) delivered by default for a communication route of up to 2 km by SFPs that can be ordered separately in
order to adapt the interface to different transmission media and longer routes.
