Directive of the European Parliament and the Council on the harmonization of
the laws of the Member States concerning equipment and protective systems
intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
Pressure Equipment Directive PED
2014/68/EU
Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the harmonization
of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market
of pressure equipment

3.1.4 Classication according to the pressure equipment directive
• For gases of uid group 1 and liquids of uid group 1; complies with requirements of article 4,
paragraph 3 (sound engineering practice)
• Only for devices with MAWP 420 bar (6092 psi):
For gases of Fluid Group 1 and liquids of Fluid Group 1; fullls the basic safety requirements
as per article 3, Para 1 (appendix 1); classied as category III, module H conformity evaluation
by TÜV Nord

Improper device modications
Risk to personnel, system and environment can result from modications to the device,
particularly in hazardous areas.
• Only carry out modications that are described in the instructions for the device. Failure to
observe this requirement cancels the manufacturer's warranty and the product approvals.
