4.9.2 Smartloop Cable Connections
The following descriptions relate to the connections made within the Torpedo resin joints. Other
cable jointing methods are also available.
The Plus+ street cables are to be fitted with CET gland and jubilee glands. This is the case for both
upstream (to/from the RAG Node) and downstream to subsequent Smartloops.

If there is only one Smartloop linked to the upstream node, the earth cable available from the
Smartloop Plus+ Network cable is terminated at the CET gland.
If multiple Smartloops to be linked together then an additional earth wire will be required to bridge
the two CET glands.
