CHECK:
When worlc clomp is raised, th e first upward move·
mcnl of t he lilting bar, Fig. 21, shou ld separate the
tcnsio r 'l discs and r clooso t ensio n on n eed le thr ead.
SETT ING :
To adjust the te ns ion re l ease , fi rs t loose n the
set screw in costing be low tension regulator , Fig. 21,
ond move entire reg ulator all the way in . Tighten
tot screw.
Then loose n the screw in li ft ing link coi'Vlection
o nd set lifti ng link so thot it projcch app r oximately
1 /32 inch as shown. Tighten scre w.
Next, l oose n t he pi n ch sc rew in l ift ing <rr m (seo
in set) and pus h up on l ihing bar unti l tension discs
j ust begin to re l ease. Mai ntain th is p osit ion wh ile
tig htening pinch sc rew. MAKE CER T AIN lhot lilting
Ctm is against shoulder on rock shah.

SETT ING:
L oose n lifting bar clomp screw, Fig. 21, and
pos ilion foot l ifter approx ima tely 118 inc h b elow
crrn h cuk as shown in Fig. 22. Then tighten clonlp
screw.
THREAD WIPER
SETTING:
Loosen Niper support screw, Fig. 22 Jnd posi·
t1on wiper support so that slot tn body finger i5
horiJon tal. Tighten Niper support screw .
Position wiper wiro to clear needle bv oppro.x-
motely 1/16 inch.

P ULL·OF F LOOP
OiECK:
The pull·ofl loop should drow sufficient thread
from tn.e un.vinder to complete the st1tc:1 pattern.
Al so, pull·ofl loop should not "whip" and moy be
controll ed by increc.sing or decreasing tens i on on
spring.
SETTING:
Loosen the four brocket set sc r ews shown in
Fig. 23 end pos ition the pull·oll loop os close cs
possible to ma ch ine arm without touching. Tighten
brac:lcct set scr ew s. Then loo~en collar set scr ew
and move colla r to incrcoso or decrease te ns ion as
required. Tighten collar set screw .
