Loosen brocket screw shown in Fig. 47 and p os i ..
tion 5top as required. Then tighten brocket s cr eYf
securely.
TRIMMING KNIVES

and oro fully adjustabl e to allow for re shar poning.
NOTE: Sequence of adjJstment should be followed
in t he ord er given .

Remove throat plate from machine.
Loosen ~nife holder screw ond set movable ~n1fe

Loose"' two screws in adjusting pl ate and set ad-
just ab le k nifo so that cuHing edge does not pan
center of ne,odlo hole bushing in th r oa t plate when
knife ho lder is rotated. Tighten two sc r ews.
Assemble throat plate to machine meshing knife
holder pinion gear w1rh <nife roc-k as sho_wn on Fig.
48 . T he first tooth on lc nafe rack must mesh with first
spoce between teeth on pinion gear.
Elim1nate ploy between rack teeth a nd pinion
teeth by loo1ening adjust i ng block screw shown in
Fig. 48 an d mov ing b lock toword front of machine.
When ploy ho s been removed
