the mach ine as for as it will go.
When sewing four-hole buttons, move the l at e ra l
adjusting lever (lower lever), Fig. 27.~, away f rom
the machine unti I po$ition is attained where needle
will enter the left hand hole in button "hen n1oc hine
pu ll ey is turned.
When correct adjustment is ottoin~d, the l ever
con be locked into position by tightening the hex
head screw.
LONGITUDINAL FEED LINKAGE
CHECK
Longitudinal feed linkage should be adj uste d so
t hat feed plate moves the s om e distance forward
from
needle ho le in th roat plate as it mov es bock·
word. Then , longi tud i na l f ee d linkage should be
adjusted to i nc r ease or d ecre a se the dist ance feed
pl ate moves forward and backward.
