4.13 VOICE MESSAGING (REQUIRES ISAT200A WITH CDP FW 6.X+)
This feature gives the system the ability for the user to record a short audio voice message and then send it as an
attachment any valid email address.
Voice Messaging must be configured for the unit in SkyWeb’s Administration section before the Voice Messaging
options appear on the CDP.
There are two types of voice messages.
Quick Voice Msg
Voice Message
4.13.1 QUICK VOICE MSG
When the ‘Quick Voice Msg’ option is selected the voice recording starts immediately. The user will speak into the
mic and after an allotted time, the recording automatically stops and the message is sent to the address(es)
specified in the Administration section of SkyWeb.
The maximum time for voice recordings is also configured in SkyWeb’s Administration section.
If the voice message is shorter than the given time the user may press the Enter key, to stop the recording early
and then the message is automatically sent.
4.13.2 VOICE MESSAGE
The ‘Voice Message’ option requires a few more steps as it allows the user more control of the process. The user
is able to review the message before it is sent and to abort the message if necessary. The user is also able to
Add Recipients to have the message sent to other addresses, in addition to those configured in the
Administration section of SkyWeb.
When the ‘Voice Message’ menu option is selected, the recording will start immediately. The user will speak into
the mic and the message is recorded, again the recording can be stopped before the end of the timer by pressing
the Enter key. After the message is recorded the other menu options appear. The user can choose to
‘Playback’ the message, ‘Send’ the message, ‘Abort’ the message or ‘Add Recipients’.
After the message is recorded and the send process has begun, it is put into the ISAT send queue and will be
sent to the email recipients as soon as it can. The user will know that the voice message has sent successfully
when the ‘Voice Message in Queue’ alert has been cleared.
