You could lose control of the vehicle while
driving if you:

adjust the driver's seat, steering wheel
or mirror

fasten the seat belt.
There is a risk of an accident.
Adjust the driver's seat, steering wheel or
mirror and fasten the seat belt before
starting the engine.

WARNING
The exterior mirrors reduce the size of the
image. Objects visible in the mirrors are
closer
than
they appear. You could misjudge
the distance from road users driving
behind you when changing lanes, for
instance. There is a risk of an accident.
You should therefore always look over your
shoulder to determine the actual distance
from road users driving behind you.
Adjusting the exterior mirrors manually

To adjust the mirror: move lever : to the
right or left, up or down.
Adjusting the exterior mirrors electri-
cally

Turn the key to position 1 or 2
in the igni-
tion (Y page 93).

To select an exterior mirror: turn control
= to
position 1 for the left exterior mir-
ror or to position 2 for the right exterior
mirror.
X
To adjust the mirror: move control = to the
right or left, up or down.
The exterior mirrors can be heated by switch-
ing on the rear window heating (
Y page 89).
Exterior mirror pushed out of position
If an exterior mirror has been pushed for-
wards or backwards out of position, push the
exterior mirror into the correct position
manually.
