5 FIRST START-UP
Firststart‐up
The electrical protection system must undergo a functional test before the appliance is put into
operation.
Theappliancemustbe installedand/orinspectedbyqualifiedstaff,whowillstartitupforthefirst
timeandprovidetherelevantoperatinginstructions.
Preparingforuse(important)
Therinseaiddispenserisfittedonallmodels,thedetergentdispenseronlyonsome.
If both dispensers are present put the external detergent and rinse aid containers in place and
inserttherespectiveintakehosesontherearoftheapplianceintothem.

Beforeinsertingthehosesintothecontainers,fittheweights(needed
toensurethattheyalwaysdrawinliquidfromthebottomsofthe
containers)andthefiltersontotheirendsasshown.
Ifthedetergentdispenserisnotfactory‐fitted,itcanberetrofitted
afterorderingtherelativekit.
Asanalternativeanexternaldispensercanbefitted,makingthe electricalconnectionbymeansof
anH05RN‐F2x0.5 mmelectricalcable,which canbelaidalongthe routeshown intheTECHNICAL
DATAdiagramandconnectedasshowninthewiringdiagramsuppliedwiththedishwasher.
Thedispensermustoperateon230V/50Hzwithmaximumpowerabsorptionof15W.
Connecttothedetergentdispenseroutsidethedishwasherusingtheredhosementionedabove.
5.1 Usingthewatersoftener(onmodelswiththisfeatureonly)
The quantity of lime in the water (which indicates its hardness) causes whitish
marksondrydishesanddishesalsotendtolosetheirshineovertime.
Thedishwasherisequippedwithanautomaticwatersoftenerwhichremovesthe
substancesthatcausehardnessfromthewaterwiththeaidof
regeneratingsalt.
Thefirsttimethedishwasherisused,alitreofwatermustbepouredintothetank
withthesalt.
Whenever the tank is filled, always take care to ensure that the cap is firmly
closed.
Themixtureofwateranddetergentmustnotgetintothesalttank,asthiswould
impairoperationoftheregenerationsystem.
Inthiscasewarrantycoverwillbeforfeited.
