If the alarm event is due to a momentary anomaly, the situation can be resolved as follows:
Turn the machine off and then on again with the On/Off button. The display flashes OFFwhile the
anomaly is being handled automatically. At the end of the process, the “OFF” displays steadily.
2. RESTORE PROCEDURE for AF alarms (displayed without flashing):
1. Run a RESET.
2. If the alarm message disappears after the RESET: you can resume normal operation after
having turned the machine off and on again with the On/Off button.
3. if the alarm message persists after the RESET: turn the machine off and on again with the
On/Off button and by disconnecting the power supply (wait at least 10 seconds before
turning it back on again).
4. If the alarm returns when the machine is turned back on: try the RESET again.
If the alarm persists even after this RESET procedure:
1. Close the water supply cock.
2. Disconnect the machine from its power supply.
3. Check that the machine is properly hooked up (water and power) and that the initial
installation conditions have not changed.
4. Contact Smeg technical service.

User: run the DEFAULT PROCEDURE described above. If the
alarm does not reset, run the RESTORE PROCEDURE.

Drying temperature sensor TA1
has generated an anomalous
signal (sensor "open").
User: run the DEFAULT PROCEDURE described above. If the
alarm does not reset, run the RESTORE PROCEDURE.
AF:09
Partial draining has not
succeeded.
User: run the DEFAULT PROCEDURE described above. If the
alarm does not reset, run the RESTORE PROCEDURE.
AF:11
No cold water during the fill
cycle.
Check the water supply:
1. Check that the intake cock is open.
2. Check the water supply pressure.
3. Check the position of the intake hoses.
Run the DEFAULT PROCEDURE described above. If the alarm
does not reset, run the RESTORE PROCEDURE.
AF:12
No hot water.
Check the hot water supply:
1. Check that the intake cock is open.
2. Check the water supply pressure.
3. Check the position of the intake hoses.
Run the DEFAULT PROCEDURE described above. If the alarm
does not reset, run the RESTORE PROCEDURE.
AF:17
Cold water filling time not
correct.
Run the checks and procedures specified in AF:11.
AF:18
Hot water filling time too long.
The machine is taking too long to
fill with hot water.
Run the checks and procedures specified in AF:12.
