Build the circuit as shown, and turn on the

slide switch (S1). The lamp (L4) and 4 LEDs

(D8, D9, D11, & D12) light, and the melody

IC (U32) plays. For best eects, place the

ber optic tree on one of the LEDs using the

mounting base, and dim the room lights.

All the lights and the melody IC are

connected in parallel, so swapping

their locations won’t change the circuit

(but don’t connect them backwards or

they won’t work).
