4 OPERATING
The following instructions assume the successful installation and commissioning of the product, as well as
comprehensive knowledge of the relevant documentation and safety notes. The following steps must be
observed before operating the monitor:
WARNING: Ensure instruction, qualification and authorization of operating personnel! Non-
observance of this information may cause electric shock or hazard, fire, product damage and/or
severe or fatal injuries!
· Read the operation and safety instructions carefully!
· Observe and fully respect operation and safety instructions!
WARNING: Ensure prevention of hearing damage caused by internal buzzer! Non-observance of
this information/insufficient distance to internal buzzer may cause hearing damage!
· Minimum distance (buzzer to personnel) of 1m must be maintained!
· For further information, please refer to the Technical Specification (Annex).
WARNING: Ensure appropriate handling of the monitor! Non-appropriate handling of the monitor
may cause electric shock or hazard, fire, product damage and/or severe or fatal injuries!
· Keep the product clean!
· Do not allow fluids, metal filings or wiring debris to enter any openings of the monitor!
· Do not use too much force or sharp objects to operate the touchscreen/ keys!
· Do not place any objects on the monitor!
· Do not sit on or lean against the monitor!
4.1 OSD (ON SCREEN DISPLAY)
Most functions of the monitor can be controlled using the OSD. The OSD allows selection of input source and
fine tuning of various functional parameters like brightness, contrast etc.
Before starting the monitor, please ensure power supply and a valid video signal to the monitor.
The monitor searches for a video signal on the last selected input source. The correct input source can be
selected using the OSD.
WARNING: Ensure display safety during longterm operation! Static pictures may cause damage to
the display (e.g. image sticking)!
· Prevent static pictures!
· Use a screensaver or an image that moves across the whole display!
· Decrease the contrast of static content!
