The IC recording medium used by this
camera is a "Memory Stick Duo". There are
two types of "Memory Stick".
"Memory StickDuo": youcan usea
"Memory StickDuo" with your
camera.
"Memory Stick": youcannotusea
"Memory Stick"with your camera.
Other memorycardscannothe used.

• Charge file supplied NP-FTI bauery pack betore
using tile camera for tile first lime. (_ _lvp 1 bI
"Read Thi_ Fb_t")
• The battery pack can be charged even if it is not
complelely discharged. Also, even if the baltery
pack is nol fiflly charged, you can use tile
paltially charged capacily of lhe bauery pack as
is,
• If you do not imend to use tile bauery pack for a
long time. use up the existing charge and
relnove il t]olll your camera, then store il in a
cool, dry place. This is lo mainlain the bauery
pack fimclions (page 95).

CarlZeisslens
This camera is equipped with a Cmq Zeiss
lens which is capable of reproducing sharp
images with excellent contrast.
The lens for this camera has been produced
under a quality assurance system certified
by Carl Zeiss in accordance with the quality
standards of Carl Zeiss in Germany.

• This camera is neither dust-proof, nor plastl-
proot, nor willer-proot. Read "Precu/lliOllS _
(page 97) betorc operating the canlera.
• Betore yoll record one-thne events, make a trial
recording to make sure that lhe camera is
working correctly.
• Be carelhl not lo get tile cmnera wet. Waler
emering the inside of lhe camera may cause
tnalthncliolls which ill some cases nlay not be
repairable.
• Do nol ainl lhe camera al tile sun or other bright
light. II nlay cause tile malflnlction of yollr
camera.
