Insert the framepost into the seat tube until it bottoms out in the frame (A). There may be
some resistance as you push it down.
Note the markings at the top of the framepost. Choose your desired compliance (stiffness)
level making sure one of the two slots on the framepost is facing forward (B).
CAUTION: Installing the framepost without one of the slots facing forward
could damage the frame.
Grease the seat tube binder bolt (C) and insert it into the frame. Using a torque wrench and
a 5 mm hex bit, torque it to 10 Nm / 88 in-lbf.
WARNING! Do not install the seat tube binder bolt before installing the
framepost as that could damage both the frame and the framepost.
For stiffer compliance, position the framepost so that one of the slots faces
forward and the other faces the drive side. To ease compliance, rotate the
framepost 90 degrees counterclockwise so one slot faces forward and the
other faces the non-drive side.
If you experience a clicking noise on large impacts, apply a thin layer of carbon
assembly paste to the bottom two inches of the framepost.
