FIG. 5
Place the framepost boot over the framepost and push it down from the upper ring
(highlighted in blue) until it reaches the seat tube. The framepost boot must be aligned with
the threaded hole facing forward.
Insert the framepost boot bolt. Using a torque wrench and a 2.5 mm hex bit, torque it to 0.8
Nm / 7 in-lbf or until it’s finger tight.
CAUTION: Make sure to grip the framepost boot by the upper ring. Pulling on the
bottom part of the framepost boot or twisting it could rip the material.
CAUTION: Make sure the framepost boot isn’t twisted during installation. The
line on the boot should line up with the bolt hole.
WARNING! Do not ride without the framepost boot and boot bolt installed as
this could damage the frame and cause you to lose control and fall.

FIG. 6
Grease the threads of the damper.
Place the tendon (with the seal inside) over the framepost and slide it down until it’s
aligned with the damper shaft.
Pull the damper shaft back out from the damper to align the threads with the tendon.
CAUTION: Look from both the top and sides to check that the tendon and
damper shaft are aligned. The tendon isn’t fixed in place and its threads can
become cross threaded if improperly installed.
WARNING! Always make sure the tendon is properly connected to the damper
before riding. Riding without the tendon and damper connected can cause you
to lose control and fall.
