T200, T380, or T680 Transporter Replacement Access the Transporter
August 2012 Replacing the Transporter—Spectra T200, T380, and T680 Libraries
15
Access the Transporter from the Right Side
1. If the library is in a rack, remove the access panel from the right side of
the rack.
Notes: The following steps are for the T680 library; the instructions
for your rack may be different.
If your rack does not provide full access to the right side of
the library without blocking the top and bottom of the
chassis, you must access the transporter from the front of the
library (see Access the Transporter from the Front on
page 10).
a. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws securing the
right-hand access panel to the side of the rack.
b. Remove the panel and set it and the screws aside.
WARNING
Hazardous moving parts. Turn off the power to the library and disconnect the
power cords if you do not plan to remove the front panel.
WARNUNG Gefahren durch bewegliche Teile. Schalten Sie das Gerät in die
Library, und ziehen Sie das Netzkabel, wenn Sie nicht vorhaben, um die Frontplatte
zu entfernen.
Caution
If you did not power off the library, you must remove the library front panel in order
to turn off the 24 VAC power to the transporter (see Remove the Front Panel on
page 10).
Important
Removing the transporter through the side of the library requires access to the
right side of the library (as viewed from the front). If you do not have access to the
right side of the library or if the rack does not provide sufficient clearance for
removing the side access panel, you must access the transporter through the front
of the library.
